Recording Fees: $16.00 for the first page and $4.00 for each additional page, per document recorded(Official Public Records, all documents except State Tax Liens) PLEASE SEND A SELF ADDRESSED, STAMPED ENVELOPE FOR THE RETURN OF YOUR ORIGINAL DOCUMENT.

Fee for Names index if more than 5 - .25 per name

Recording Fees:  (State Tax Liens)- $11.00

Copy Fees:  Regular copy of recorded/filed documents - $1.00 per page

                  Certified copy of recorded/filed documents - $1.00 per page plus $5.00 certification fee, per document.  

Cattle Brand Application - $16.00 for each position on animal.

Marriage License - $72.00  

Certified Copy of Marriage License - $21.00 each

Certified Copy of Death Certificate - $21.00 first copy then $4.00 for each additional copy when ordered at the same time. (We can only issue Death Certificates for those who died in Carson County). (With Proper I.D.)

Certified Copy of Birth Certificate -   $23.00 each (With Proper I.D.)

Foreclosure Posting - $2.00

The Clerk's Office now accepts Mastercard and Visa (Debit or Credit).  (See the Certified Payments link below) 

Our office is now able to issue Birth Certificates for anyone who was born in Texas. (With proper I.D.) (The certificate we issue through the state may not be acceptable to obtain a passport.)
